The most northern point of Sardinia is
Santa Teresa di Gallura
The most northern point of Sardinia is Santa Teresa Gallura. From there you have a
great view to the island of Corsica and many ferries can bring you to Corsica and back
few times during the day directly from the port of Santa Teresa di Gallura. The port is
also a beautiful place to visit with the yachts which anchor there. The name of this
particular city cames from King Vittorio Emanuele I who called the city like his wife Maria
Teresa.
Santa Teresa di Gallura has about 5000 habitants and there is a citylife the whole year
round. During the summer you find many restaurants and bars and also small
marketplaces where you can buy souveniers, traditional food and handmade jewellery.
One of the most beautiful beaches of Sardinia is in the city of Santa Teresa and it is called
Rena Bianca.
A few minutes from the center of Santa Teresa di Gallura you find Terravecchia. In this
area of 60 hectare there are only 20 wonderful private villas. Those, who are looking for
privacy, nature and a spectacular view over the Mediterrenean sea, this is a perfect
place. You have all the comforts of the city in a few minutes but you can also enjoy a quiet
and unforgettable holiday surrounded by nature.
On the west of Santa Teresa di Gallura there is the wonderful Capo Testa. We
recommend you to visit the lighthouse and also the Valle della Luna, where in some of
the caves are living people all year round away from it all, like in the years of the hippies.
Capo Testa is also very known for the many rocks, which are formed by the wind. The
people gave them different names of animals because the rocks are looking alike them
thanks to the wind. Of course there are also wonderful beaches to relax and enjoy the
wonderful Mediterrenean sea.
Some of the villas for rent we can recommend to explore this area are
Villa Nadira: private pool,
Villa Elenoire: luxury villa,
Villa Yvette: villa by the sea for 11 people and
Villa Sa Laddera: private pool and seaview.
